Before you apply
Entry requirements
Requirements vary by course and level, and each course page sets out its own. As a general guide:
Level 3 courses
You will normally be 18 or over, with a standard of education equivalent to GCSE or above.
Level 4 courses
You will normally hold a full Level 3 qualification, such as A Levels or an equivalent diploma, or have relevant work experience.
English language
If English is not your first language, you will need to show appropriate proficiency. For Level 4 courses this is normally IELTS 5.5 or equivalent, unless the awarding organisation specifies otherwise.
Studying online
You will need a suitable device, a reliable internet connection and the digital skills to study online.
Experience and prior learning
If you do not meet a requirement but have relevant experience, or already hold learning that covers part of a course, talk to us. Where the awarding organisation allows, we can take it into account.
Disabilities and additional needs
Tell us when you apply, so that support can be in place before you start. It will never be a reason for refusing your application.
Any specific requirements for your course will be set out in your offer letter.
Applying from outside the UK
International applicants
Our courses can be studied from wherever you live, and the entry requirements are the same wherever you apply from. Ravenscroft College does not currently sponsor student visas.
Applying through an agent
If a recruitment agent is supporting your application, add their agent code to your application form.
