Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the relationship between Ravenscroft College ("the College", "we", "our", "us") and any individual who applies to, enrols on, or studies a programme of study with the College ("you", "your", "the Learner"). By submitting an application or completing enrolment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms should be read in conjunction with the College's published policies, including the Admissions Policy, Fees, Refunds and Withdrawals Policy, Privacy Policy, and all other policies available on our website at ravenscroftcollege.co.uk.
About Ravenscroft College
Ravenscroft College is an independent education provider based in London, United Kingdom. The College delivers professionally relevant qualifications awarded by recognised awarding bodies, including but not limited to OTHM Qualifications, Pearson, and other approved organisations. The College is not a university and does not hold degree-awarding powers unless explicitly stated in connection with a validated partnership.
Formation of Contract
A binding contract between you and the College is formed when you accept an offer of a place on a programme of study and complete the enrolment process, including payment of fees or agreement to an approved payment plan. The contract comprises these Terms, your offer letter, the relevant programme specification, and the College's published policies at the date of enrolment.
If you enrol at a distance (including online enrolment), you have the right to cancel within 14 calendar days of the date of enrolment in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Details of the cancellation process are set out in our Fees, Refunds and Withdrawals Policy.
Programme Information
The College will provide you with accurate and up-to-date information about your programme of study before enrolment, including:
- Programme title, qualification level, and the name of the awarding body.
- Entry requirements and any prerequisite qualifications.
- Programme structure, delivery mode (online, blended, or face-to-face), and duration.
- Assessment methods and criteria.
- Total fees payable, payment terms, and any additional costs.
- Progression pathways and any known limitations on progression.
The College reserves the right to make reasonable changes to programmes, timetables, delivery methods, or staffing where necessary. Where any material change is proposed that may affect your programme, you will be notified in advance and given the opportunity to withdraw with a full or proportionate refund if the change is to your significant disadvantage.
Your Obligations
Academic Conduct
You are expected to:
- Attend and engage with all scheduled sessions, learning activities, and assessments.
- Submit all work by the published deadlines and in accordance with the awarding body's requirements.
- Maintain academic integrity at all times, including producing work that is your own and properly referencing all sources.
- Comply with the College's Academic Integrity, Malpractice and Maladministration Policy.
- Engage with the virtual learning environment and check communications regularly.
Behaviour and Conduct
You are expected to:
- Treat all staff, fellow learners, and members of the College community with dignity and respect.
- Comply with the College's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy and Safeguarding Policy.
- Use the College's digital platforms, communication channels, and resources responsibly and lawfully.
- Not engage in any behaviour that constitutes harassment, discrimination, bullying, or disruption.
Failure to comply with these obligations may result in disciplinary action, which may include suspension or expulsion from the programme. In serious cases, the College may terminate the contract with immediate effect.
Financial Obligations
You are responsible for:
- Paying all fees in accordance with the agreed payment terms and schedule.
- Notifying the College promptly if you experience financial difficulty or are unable to meet a payment obligation.
- Understanding that persistent non-payment may result in suspension of access to learning materials and support, and ultimately withdrawal from the programme.

The College's Obligations
Ravenscroft College will:
- Deliver your programme of study with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with the programme specification and the awarding body's requirements.
- Provide access to the virtual learning environment, learning materials, and academic support as described in the programme information.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on assessments.
- Maintain appropriate quality assurance processes, including internal verification and compliance with awarding body standards.
- Communicate clearly and promptly about matters affecting your studies.
- Handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Data Protection and GDPR Policy.
- Provide access to a fair complaints and appeals process.
Fees and Payment
Programme fees are published on the College's website and confirmed in your offer letter. The total fee includes all tuition and standard assessment costs unless otherwise stated. Additional charges may apply for resits, resubmissions, or supplementary services, and these will be communicated clearly before they are incurred.
The College reserves the right to adjust fees for future cohorts. Fees will not be increased during your programme unless required by a regulatory body or awarding organisation, in which case you will be given reasonable notice.
Cancellation and Cooling-Off Rights
If you enrol at a distance, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 calendar days of enrolment without giving a reason, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. To exercise this right, you must notify the College in writing at info@ravenscroftcollege.co.uk. A full refund will be issued within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice, subject to any deduction for services already provided at your request.
Withdrawals after the cooling-off period are governed by the Fees, Refunds and Withdrawals Policy.
Intellectual Property
All course materials, content, and resources provided by the College remain the intellectual property of Ravenscroft College or the relevant awarding body and are provided for your personal study use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, share, or commercially exploit any course materials without prior written consent.
Any original work you produce as part of your programme remains your intellectual property, subject to the awarding body's regulations regarding assessment submissions.
Limitation of Liability
The College will use reasonable endeavours to deliver your programme as described. However, the College's liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the relevant programme. The College does not accept liability for:
- Loss or damage arising from circumstances beyond the College's reasonable control (force majeure), including but not limited to pandemic, natural disaster, government action, or technology failure.
- Any indirect, consequential, or economic loss, including loss of earnings or anticipated career outcomes.
- The content, availability, or practices of third-party websites, platforms, or services linked from the College's website.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits the College's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Suspension and Termination
By the College
The College may suspend or terminate your enrolment in the following circumstances:
- Serious or persistent breach of these Terms, the College's policies, or the student code of conduct.
- Academic misconduct, including plagiarism, cheating, or fraud.
- Non-payment of fees following reasonable notice and opportunity to pay.
- Behaviour that poses a risk to the safety, welfare, or wellbeing of others.
- Failure to meet the requirements of the Fitness to Study process, where applicable.
Where the College proposes to suspend or terminate your enrolment, you will be given reasonable notice and the opportunity to make representations before a final decision is made, except where immediate action is required for safety or regulatory reasons.
By You
You may withdraw from your programme at any time by notifying the College in writing. Your financial obligations on withdrawal are governed by the Fees, Refunds and Withdrawals Policy.
Complaints and Appeals
If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your experience, you are encouraged to raise the matter through the College's Complaints Policy. Academic appeals against assessment decisions are handled under the Academic Appeals Policy. Both policies are available on the College's website. After exhausting the College's internal procedures, you may be entitled to refer your complaint to an external body, as detailed in the relevant policy.
Data Protection
The College will process your personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and Data Protection and GDPR Policy. By enrolling, you acknowledge that the College may share your personal data with awarding bodies, regulatory bodies, and other third parties where necessary and lawful, as described in those policies.
Force Majeure
The College shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond the College's reasonable control, including but not limited to pandemic, epidemic, natural disaster, fire, flood, government action, industrial action, terrorist activity, or significant disruption to technology or telecommunications infrastructure. In such circumstances, the College will take reasonable steps to mitigate the impact on learners and to resume normal operations as soon as practicable.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any disputes arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Changes to These Terms
The College may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes that affect current learners will be communicated directly. The most current version will always be available on the College's website.
